This course provides the knowledge and skills necessary to implement Extreme Networks’ ExtremeCloud IQ Controller. Students will experience the implementation process from start to finish, learning all essential steps and technologies. The theory is reinforced with hands-on labs using the ExtremeCloud IQ Controller and relevant access points. Successful completion results in an operational WLAN with Open SSIDs, encryption and authentication, configuration settings, AP discovery, and equipment profiles used in creating and managing Sites in ExtremeCloud IQ – Controller.
Target Audience
This training is designed for personnel installing and configuring wireless networks using ExtremeCloud IQ Controller. This course is the mandatory first step in the progression towards professional certification.
Requirements
The Welcome Series ‘Getting to Know IQ – Controller’ (Coming soon!) is a mandatory prerequisite that must be completed before attending the ExtremeCloud™ IQ – Controller – Installation and Configuration training. You should already have a solid understanding of WLAN concepts, including 802.11 Wi-Fi standards, Ethernet and TCP/IP, and be familiar with general topics in wireless networking.
